Not really. The Japanese don't get Christmas Day off, unless your boss is one of those bakayaro gaijin. You get all the pomp and pageantry and commercialism but not the day off to spend with family, which is key to Western Christmas

They do get a whole week off, though (The Golden Week). And a whole bunch of secular holidays also. And they made those holidays to fall on Mondays or Fridays so you can enjoy them with the weekend.
