Watched V For Vendetta for the first time. Excellent comic book film. Much more interesting and imaginative than typical capefare.
Particularly loved the casting of John Hurt, given the 1984 connection. I'd not seen him give a villainous performance before, and I must say he was better suited for it than heroic parts. He always seemed to look so miserable and worn out in every movie, but it suits a tyrant.

They could've toned down V's ramblings a bit - I get that being theatrical is his thing, but the alliteration speech was so preposterous that I only forgave it because of the genre. But overall, I enjoyed the film thoroughly.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I found it very ironic the populace was fighting "unity through strength" with basically the same thing.

Midway is what you get by splicing scenes from Skyscraper (starring The Rock) into Michael Bay's Pearl Harbor. Made by China and bizarrely derailed by a Doolittle Raid side story just so they could shoehorn China into a movie about a sea battle between US and Loliland. Remember guise, China did its part!

Blacked Lively's race mixing action movie looks fucking awful. Hard to believe Barbara Broccoli deliberately killed Bond so she could make a franchise out of something that belongs in the YA section.

Also, the girl power movie Bombshell has to be the most over the top propaganda film ever made. 1940 Germans would be charged with war crimes if they made this MeToo garbage/CNN ad. Margot Robbie makes her 40-year-old castmates look like grandmas, though, which was good for a chuckle.

Here's your new Sanic trailer. He looks better, which is disappointing. I wanted more of a trainwreck.

Well, he still looks like ass and is still annoying as fuck. This movie will really only be good for uploading clips of Jim Carrey, and even that will get old fast.

Probably yeah. Sanic is annoying and autistic as fuck in both trailers, which makes sense given his fanbase, but I think they did improve his look a bit. Glad they kept the blue arms, if only to trigger Chris-chan some more.

I am legit excited to see the Sanic movie. It looks so glorious. I am unironically seeing it opening day and am grabbing the large coke and popcorn and walking into that theater with the smuggest fucking grin on my face while I do it. Bob Chipman himself couldn't look more smug and self felating than I will be at that very moment.

Downfall was more impressive than even its reputation suggested. I certainly hadn't expected Hitler to be portrayed as humanely as he was(ofc most people talk about only one scene). I had previously enjoyed Carlyle's aggressive performance, but Ganz blew him out of the water. Even though it was Hitler on his last legs, I think he captured the charismatic side of him extremely well.

The feeling of claustrophobia in the Fuhrerbunker was quite palpable. I'm assuming it was on location in some facility somewhere, but if not, brilliant set design. I could almost taste the fresh air on the few occasions they emerged.

The recreation of the war itself was quite impeccable too. It seemed just as miserable and awful as it should be.

If I had any criticism whatsoever, it's that I would personally have preferred the film to have a slightly tighter pace and shorter runtime.

The movie is produced by a feminist hag who banned "Bond Girl" from the set, and was rewritten by the fucking SJW droid from Solo, who also created Killing Eve, a stupid-ass woke BBC series about lesbian assassins and proud POC. Black 007 is not a joke to them.

Doctor Sleep is ok, definitely owes more to King than Kubrick.
Watching it, it's pretty clear to see that it was going to flop.
You probably could have made a great movie if you gutted Kings novel (the ingredients are all there) but clearly that's not what happened.
