At least in the case of American Psycho that is true. It's too good of a movie and too good of a memetic entity that I wouldn't recommend it for anyone. Even commie shits, the lowest form of life, should see it.

I listened to the Sargonbook of AP a few months ago (yes I read it beforehand don't bully me please). I laughed every time he said nigger and kike.
