It used to mean "guys who can't get laid because they're physically or mentally repulsive". The Supreme Gentleman, got example, actually hang out on an incel forum before supremeing his way out of this world.

Nowadays, it's just like Alt-Right or Far-Right or misogynistic or whatever is the current week's power word that the shrieks on Twitter are using, devoid of all meaning.

Then it got applied to a bunch of unsocial dipshits infecting the internet with blog posts about how they'd be the perfect husbando if those evil 3D waifus would pay attention to them instead of all those chad assholes. Those posts usually make it very clear as to why they can't get laid.
Then these weirdoes kept popping up fantasizing about hentai rape utopias, somehow believing that the chad assholes from above will share the 3D waifus with them.

If anything it's a hedge. An incel can still be an incel even if they've managed to get lucky once. A virgin ceases to be a virgin if they've gotten lucky.

OK, what are some of these communities? I've never run across any. I'd like to investigate them myself. My bet is that it's just going to be a bunch of autists whining and there's nothing threatening or dangerous being said.

And you'd be wrong, actually. For communities, wizardchan, some bodybuilding forums and /r9k/ are the most frequented ones. Yes, "involuntary celibate" or incel for short is a term they came up with themselves. If you ever fancy seeing actual muhsoggyknees look no further. Is most of that just edgeposting? Sure. But every once in a while one of them attempts to become a supreme gentleman.
Now the most incels and arguably the most dangerous ones are in the manosphere and MGTOW circles. Robots and wizards usually just accept their fate but those other lads are getting scammed by their fellow males and some eventually just snap due to the injustice of it all.

But all that is aside the point and has nothing to do with lefty shits using "incel" as an insult. That's really just because calling them virgins isn't kosher with the cult of SocJus. It's the only insult they could ever think of but they would be shaming asexuals and other fellow insane people on their side. So they basically just switched to that term.

A funny side note is that Voice's comparison with ISIS is very apt. Most of the faggots joining ISIS were the the very definition of incels, hoping to finally get their dicks wet in shitskin heaven after they blow themselves up.

Years ago I used to be active on the A Voice For Men forums and I never saw anything like you described. There were some young guys agonizing over not being able to get chicks, but a lot of the members were divorcés that got fucked over in the courts.
