I remember the main thrust of the INDb being making fun of peoples' content, but that was before social media became quite as much of a window into their personal demons as it's become. I know the whole concept was founded on seeking refuge from Spoony's banhammer-happy tendencies, so there was always at least a kernel of it being about "wow these people are dicks off-camera," but it's actually rather stunning just how far the whole thing has slid away from the stuff INs put out and toward how reprehensible their personal behavior tends to be. Doge catches less shit as a result of that, simply because he doesn't engage in that type of behavior, at least not as often or as visibly.

Worst thing can be said is his content isn’t bery entertaining but he’s a children's entertainer at this point. At the end of the day he makes content for his audience and doesn’t post bile on social media.

There is humor to be found in tearing apart oddities like that stupid concert. Stringing along less than clever profanity laden criticisms isn't where today's market is headed. Is James going to make videos in 30 years time about the stupid shit that his kid currently watches? Are we going to get a new swath of INs yelling about Jake and the fucking pirates or Paw Patrol?
