There a couple of Chinese special agent were-tiger girls. They were the only positive highlight I can remember from the show. It's too bad the anime didn't focus on them instead.
Oh, there are also two live action films. The
second one stars Sonny Chiba and is available on blu-ray. I've seen it, but I can't remember anything about it, so it must have been pretty meh.
The first movie isn't even called Wolf Guy, it's called "
Crest of the Wolf". All I could find was a low-quality RAW rip online. I can confirm that the useless female character is in it and gets raped by famous actor Yusaku Matsuda.

Wolf Guy looks like it is done by Rumiko Takahashi by those drawings above. She is always terrible with endings of her stories. Only decent one was Inuyasha and that felt rushed.

WG is a really old manga that was turned into a novel series and then had two manga afterwords, plus the animu and the movies. Rumiko must have just done some animu illustrations because she didnt do any of the books.
All Japanese are bad at making endings but the women are the worst. CLAMP is a big offender.

I think us Burgers in the entertainment industry are worse with endings since we want to keep shit going forever until it gets forcibly cancelled on our faces due to shit ratings and low merch sales. Then we complain how the higher ups didn't let us run our vision.
Nippon overall does endings better that at least have closures unless you are Tite Kubo and the garbage that is Bleach.
I admit it's been forever since I've read CLAMP stuff so my memory may be fuzzy. While I do agree with you overall with their endings due to manga such as Angelic Layer and Chobits. I do think Cardcaptor Sakura was done well with what they had.

That's a
very recent phenomenon.

Yes, you are right. I just did a random image search and only found a couple hits. One of them is from some book called "Rumic World VS Wolf Guy". I think it's just some shitty essay book the authors wrote together and not a manga.
And yeah, we Americans are the worst with endings. 99% of the shows I watched as a kid just stopped. The networks would keep running these shows for eternity, right into the ground until absolutely nobody watched anymore and it would get canceled. The only shows that got endings were the super popular, well regarded shows like Cheers. These were usually the shows that had the good sense to quit while they were ahead.
I still can't forgive NBC for canceling ALF on a cliffhanger all these years later.

Nah. SJW shit added into over drive is new. This shit I am talking about has been forever. Especially in cartoons. I remember the whining of Greg Weissman, creator of Gargoyles and Young Justice, whining since the 90s with all his shows saying he had plans for the next season until it got cancelled. 2000s The Batman had oh we were planning to add Wonder Woman the next season but they cancelled on us. Trust me this nonsense has been going here forever in Burgerland.
Only people I think that ever had proper endings was Bruce Timm in the DCAU for the most part. I think Batman Beyond was one that got cancelled. And Timm even said that was due to Return of the Joker not well received at the time and them focusing on Justice League at the time.
Hell they originally ended Batman: The Animated Series and only brought it back because WB asked them which is how the New Batman Adventures came to be.

Wasn't ALF a mess behind the scenes in the last season? Like one actress was high on drugs. Creator of Alf clashing with other actors including leaving them without saying a word after filming of the last episode ended.
I remember reading about that a while ago.

Batman Beyond didn't get cancelled. Bruce Timm has explained this numerous times. An American cartoon show usually only runs for about 65 episodes. That's the minimum needed for syndication. All the DCAU shows hit that threshold (B:TAS exceeded it) and JLU was the only one where they wanted to do more but the network, for whatever reason, weren't keen.

Imagine spending a billion US dollars to be a loser. Could've watched animu and be one for free.

Sort of. All the actors were miserable. The recently deceased Max Wright was the one that was on drugs, screamed at the child actor when he'd blow his lines, and left the set without saying a word on the last day.
I heard a lot of stories about Wright on the imdb forums. One guy claimed to have gone to acting school with him and he said Wright had a huge ego and the teacher was ranting and raving about how talented he was and how he'd be a movie star, but this guy didn't see it at all.
Another guy claimed to have met him at rehab and they would go on wild drunken benders on the weekends together. He met Max again a few years later and Max had no memory of it all.
