Also I'm pretty sure he'd praise the fuck out of 2e, considering that he's a massive contrarian and the reaction on 2e has been a lot more mixed than 1e.

• The earliest playtests generated massive butthurt because Paizo thought it'd be a good idea to limit the spamming of potions and wands and shit by introducing a limited resource you have to spend in order to spend the limited resource that you want to spend.
• Said playtests also made it so that the relative skill difference between a total n00b and a master of his craft was like a +4
• Many aren't happy with the shield nerf, since you know have to spend one of your limited actions in order to even get the shield's AC bonus, and there's a good chance that the shield might break.
• Also note that shields were never really that good to begin with (going sword-and-board with any kind of efficiency was a lot like dual wielding, aka it required too much feats and planning, as compared to someone who just uses a two-handed weapon)
• There's a bit of a hypocrisy going on with Paizo loving to make fun of 4th edition Pathfinder, while at the same time borrowing ideas from 4th ed.
• Paizo also doesn't have the best track record when they create stuff from scratch, instead of just ripping off OGL material
• Also let's not forget that their fanbase is made up of people who wanted to keep playing D&D 3.X instead moving to a different system. Now they want those blokes to move on to a different system.
• Not to mention that heir success was partially thanks to people hating the way official D&D looked at the time. There aren't nearly as many people unhappy with official D&D in Current Year.
• Also many are whining about the official character sheet looking shite. The horror.
