70s bad for movies? Are you fucking high? It's one of the best decades of all time for film, many argue that the original Star Wars ruined movies because it created the modern "safe" blockbuster that stopped studios taking risks with movies featuring heavy topics and themes (I can't find the clip, but it has some old dude in a diner talking about this and he has a good point).
