Reading on the hearing, and this is based off of Spergetta's testimony, so take this with a grain of salt, but it seems like the judge was impartial in favor of Marchi and Sam Johnson, which makes me think Chupp and Johnson might be buddies? That's just a guess, really, but I get that vibe.

Figures. Nick is never going to accept any blame for the monetization of Vic's court case and turning this whole thing into a circus. Ty probably is a hackfraud though.
