I guarantee they'll pull a The Force Awakens and have Keanu be in the movie for 15 minutes to pass the torch to a new chosen one, and the new chosen one will be either a black woman or a tranny. Then we'll get a trilogy of this garbage unless 4 flops. God, I hope it flops.

Well, nobody liked the original Matrix trilogy beyond the first one (which I thought was total shit) and the Wachowski brothers haven't gotten any better at filmmaking so I don't see how it could be anything but a flop

Yeah, The Matrix brand is forever tainted by Reloaded and Revolutions, and the Wachowski bros haven't made a good film since the original The Matrix: hiring them to do write and direct a new Matrix trilogy is as retarded as hiring George Lucas to write and direct a new Star Wars trilogy. The only way The Matrix franchise can ever rise from the dead is by kicking the two hacks to the curb and handing the reigns to someone else. As long as the Wachowski bros are at the helm, there's no hope.

Remnder that MAtrix 1 was a s good as it was because the Wachowskis literaly said "We want to do Ghost in the Shell BUT WITH KUNG FU" and they did that.

Oh yeah, The Matrix isn't a very original film. Granted, the same could be said of a lot of great films, but it should be strongly emphasized with The Matrix since the Wachowski bros have proven they're totally incapable of making a good film unless they're ripping off someone else. George Lucas is a better writer/director than the Wachowski bros.

It is kind of astounding how much progressively worse it's gotten. Like, Hellraiser had a string of shit sequels, but the quality of shitness still varied.
Terminator? Every single film is just a little bit worse than the one before. T1's an awesome sci-fi horror. Then you have T2, which is a good action flick. T3's lame, Salvation's just dull, Genisys is downright laughable and now we got the crapfest of Dark Fate(a name that's even worse than Genisys, who'd have thought).
