Don't pay attention to AngrySpoonySnob, he's a sad sack of shit gimmick poster who I think probably has autism.

That said, you were off on what Brad thought about Prometheus. He actually did like the movie, which was a controversial stance to take on the movie. Even in the Alien: Covenant review he still stands by his feelings for the film.

The thing is, I get why people hated Prometheus, and it deserves the hate, but honestly I liked it as well. It was an ambitious film that tried to explore deep themes and intellectual ideas while still being a gory sci-fi horror film, which are all things I like. It failed of course, and was hamstrung by nonsensical character motivations, forced attempts at philosophizing, and convoluted subplots that never got resolved, but it still had its moments. Flawed but watchable, at least for me.

That said, Jones has ridiculously bad taste in films. He'll like whatever half-assed B-movie garbage that pops up just as much as a well-written, well produced film, and he'll defend that b-movie trash like it was a Stanley Kubrick masterpiece even though no, it's just garbage, shut up, you dumb asshole. It relates to his inability to identify the difference between a good film and a bad one, so he just likes whatever keeps him not bored for roughly two hours. It's like jangling keys. The keys are jangly, that's all Brad Jones needs.
