He always came across as very hands off and business only kinda of guy. Even back when he was trying to get a stable of kahntent creators, he never acted out like they were family or super friends... I mean, their retard fans acted like they were, but Doge himself always kept his distance.

And it is the one thing I have to give to Doge, he always came across as a guy who wants to entretain, and just that, I don't recall he acting out for the "friend simulator" crowd, and for that he gets point with me.

The problem was that every other fuck on the site was doing just that. It's why they got so many donations and patreon shekels later down the road, the autistic fanbase got really attached to them and would sperg out if anyone criticised them (hence why we exist). It was a big source of the drama in the community that you don't get with a lot of other online e-celeb fanbases, and bringing fans onto the site from the forums rather than content creators who established a following somewhere else didn't help either since pretty much every fuck who started drama and bullshit was a former Doge fan on their forums. Fucking Amazing Atheist has been involved in tons of e-drama yet on TGWTG he was well behaved, acted professional and he kept his distance from the TGWTG fans.

Look at the CA document, Marzgurl and others whining that Doge doesn't give a shit about their dumb characters and powers. They thought that getting on the site meant that Doge would become your fucking friend, it's business you idiots, if this is your "livelihood" then damn well act like it.

The fact channel awesome could keep all those fucking nobodies on the website, but couldn't keep Amazing Banana when TJ's channel was at the height of its popularity, just shows their priorities were completely fucked. They would have been better off to fire 20 of the nobodies than to lose TJ. That's what marzgunt and those other cunts never understood.

Oh sure, TJ's channel is dead now, but it was a huge fucking deal back then. It remained a huge fucking deal (well, it remained healthy) for the duration of gamergate and well afterwards.

But hey, Doge finally started to prioritize what was important. And this sounds narcissistic, but what was important to his business, his brand and his metrics were his videos. The vast majority of tgwtg watchers wanted to see Doge videos, maybe with a side of Spoony or Joe. If a soda company has 400,000 flavors, but no "main" flavor and no standards for what kinds of flavors can become an "official" soda sold by them, then their brand is diluted down to nothing. That's what TGWTG was doing, and that's what Angry Joe aka Lazy Beaner is doing now, with all his bullshit videos.

That never really applied to DSP though, since DSP's identity is as the guy who pumps out RAW, UNEDITED and boring footage. His brand was ruined from day 1 and it's only TIHYDP that kept his let's plays watchable.

They were VERY fucking public about it on their forums too because of his other videos, that should have been a warning that you have attracted children who don't know how to act professional. Benzaie was the only guy willing to reach out and do a crossover with him while everyone else acted like a big baby until he left.

The thing is, while on TGWTG he did none of the shit he did on his youtube channel. He just made videos about trailers and later general shit like TV shows and movies without talking about fedora tipping or politics and he was way better than most of the fucks on the site. The guy who is known for shoving a banana up his ass, pouring hot oil on his cock, supporting that Candid crap and getting into a relationship with a teenage boy whose dad threatened to shoot him was the most professional video producer they ever had. Let that sink in.

Those three are also possibly his real life friends after the site was formed, though I could be wrong about LAG since I think he mentioned he knew Doge from before.

Don't know about Lindsay, she had her own little clique... and more than a few times she ribbed Doge over his incompetence as a film maker.

Lindsay was quite catty in those times, and she knew she was just hanging with those bunch of jokers till she could get to better things, not to mention she didn't mind going below the belt as well. Now she acts all sacrosanct, but i recall when she was making fun of Iron Liz being a tranny. Fuck, I wish one day Liz would bring that up and throw that to her face for some quality drama, but i think Liz is done with this shit...
