Sadly I doubt it. It's only going to get worse. Even if the MCU dies, that style of movie isn't going away. The Bugman is here to stay, it is the age of the goon. In our infantalized society the MCU brand of prolechow is the perfected opiate of the masses.

I think we need to just be honest with ourselves and stop watching movies. It's not going to get better, only worse. Much, much worse.

Way ahead of you, guestfaggot. I still haven't consumed a single capeshit movie or TV show since the second Bravo Nolan Batman movie. And even that was a bore to go through.

Fixed that for you. Good movies will keep coming out, but the vast majority of them will be low-budget. What worries me more than anything is the next generation of auteurs. The New Hollywood auteurs are ancient and only two of them (Martin Scorsese and David Lynch) are still capable of delivering great films, and the auteurs that came to prominence 20-30 years ago (e.g., Joel & Ethan Coen, David Fincher) won't live forever either. Let's hope the auteurs of tomorrow aren't completely corrupted by SJW bullshit and capeshit.

I agree things will get worse. And the simple-minded Chinese audience will probably drag this fad out longer than it normally would last. But people will get sick of it eventually. Especially if they double down on this woke shit.

I wouldn't mind if movies as a whole died for good. I have no patients or time for even good films, I'm underwhelmed and bored by everything I see. The west is dead, theres no time to waste on trash. Just burn it all down.
