Jeebus, that shotgun. Even Rob Liefeld would tell him to stop.

Proper optics for any purpose are always expensive.

Like I said, companies right now are selling rifles based on designs that go back a hundred or more years. They add little improvements here and there, but those old guns still exist and you can still fire them today side-by-side with a "modern" rifle and see how little difference exists between the two. Plenty of springfields, mausers and moist nuggets have been slapped in basic wooden hunting stocks and used as deer rifles.

Optics are indeed expensive as fuck though. I prefer iron sights myself because I don't need anything else for the distances I shoot at. Just has the added benefit of being poorfag-friendly.

Optics on a shotgun are a fucking meme.

Depends on what you want to make. If we're talking extreme precision, that's not all that easy.
But a shotgun that's complicated is also shit. There's zero need for that. All you're doing by overcomplicating mechanisms is asking for feeding issues. And since no matter how fancy it is it's going to fire basic bitch 12 gauge shells through a glorified pipe, you can do fuckall about performance.

The main selling point with me for shotguns, and I haven't shot them much so my opinion isn't worth as much, is reliability. Most shotguns are dead fucking reliable. You can buy them used for 250 any day of the week and they should be in fine working order until long after you are deceased. They're simple, easy to clean and they just work.

But that's only true if we're talking about traditional shotguns and not newfag mall ninja shotguns that fire semi auto and have lots of moving parts.

Semi-auto ones are fine. Just go with a normal one and not some "combat" bullshit.
The most autism with shotguns is retarded types of ammo, though. You can buy some real retarded shit in the USA.

Best gun channel by the way.

Well, it makes sense to slap your expensive optics on something that can actually make use of it.

But on a shotgun? The only people who'd need that are failed spree killers identifying as cartoon ghost girls

Yeah no, shotguns never need optics. The whole point of them is that you don't need to be too precise.

The fanciest sights a shotgun should ever have is maybe a tritium night sight.
