Early Doge wasn't outright terrible. The "reviews" (summary of the movie) were short, to the point, and were better written than the absolute dogshit that he's making now. I bet he'd love to make the shorter reviews again, but I'm guessing he has to add these retarded skits with these retarded "actors" in order to make the reviews transformative, thereby dodging a strike or whatever. I have no idea, I haven't watched the motherfucker in forever. Last shit I saw was his Alice in Wonderland review and that nearly broke me.

Notice how the only ones who don't seem to be seething about this kind of shit are the ones who have accepted the role for what it is. When was the last time DHI breathed a cross word about Doug's behavior or demeanor, despite it being near unanimous that his videos are intolerable? None of the others will ever admit to it outright, except perhaps through that infuriating brand of "I'm saying what I actually mean sarcastically, so you're not allowed to call me on it, even though it is actually what I mean", but I guarantee that they're all not only lamenting that, but questioning why they're not actual, real movies stars by now. That's how this was supposed to go, wasn't it?
