Captain Marvel > Endgame

Finally saw it and it wasn't half bad wokewise. It's typical cookie-cutter Marvel shit: starts out just ok then degenerates into a boring CG mess that undercuts the villain from Guardians 1 and has her nickname be "Avenger" and has her inspire Fury into being more than a low-level government agent. All the woke shit is confined to a short montage at the beginning when her brain is being probed by aliens, then there's some eye-rolling shit at the end where she remembers getting up from all her accidents as a little girl and suddenly has vagina powers, but otherwise it's just generic capeshit.

Brie needs to keep her goddamn mouth shut because all the hate for this movie was generated by her alone. In the movie she's cute, kind of funny, and actually charming at times. It's not until the end when she gets all her powers that she turns into an unsmiling dyke bitch, but it's practically over by then. Pancake ass on full display too, so either the butt double got nixed or was just made up.

Holy shit, though, the movie comes to a screeching halt when they reach Louisiana (stop putting this shithole in movies, people. You don't get extra afro cred for it.) and Maria Rambo First Blood. "Auntie Carol Auntie Carol!" For fucks sake.

Though tbf, it's probably not terribly surprising that a capeshit movie about a single capeshitter might be slightly less shitty than a capeshit movie about all of them.

Definitely changed her post-credits scene too. She shows up when the retards are all "What's a pager?!" but in Highlander Endgame shows up when she brings Stark home (cuz men are dumb, see).

How old is she supposed to be? Brie was like 28 when she made the movie, but in-universe she disappeared in 1989 before resurfacing in 2006. I don't know how long it takes for someone to become a hotshot fighter pilot, but if we say she was 20 that would make her 50 in Avengers: The Quickening.

Which makes me think he's as much of a "researcher of archetypes"(or whatever the shit he claims to be) as much as Snorlax of Spergekad was a "game dev".

I don't expect much out of it, nor any drama, just that it's amazing how these types of people can often look alike, even in two completely different places of the world.
