The funny thing is that nothing seemed out of the ordinary at this point, so it's not like we gave him an ultimatum. We were so wrapped up in the project that Lewis could be filming some stupid movie in the Arizona desert for all I cared.

I think my negativity might be distorting the past a little. For all that happened, it was a great time. I got to co-write a comic with Al, which was a blast. Lewis wasn't there, but I was pretty chill about it. The only thing that really irked me was him not telling me.

All I knew was that Lewis had some sort of comic blog. Everyone had a Blogger account back then, so it didn't even seem weird that he'd never mentioned it before. I just thought, "Oh, Lewis critiques comic books on his blog. That's nice." The only thing that surprised me was his sudden, apparent notoriety.

Nothing of his behavior up to 2010 ever triggered a sense of impropriety. It all seemed perfectly normal, aside from his desire to be a Dr. Who/Power Ranger.

I have to wonder if we get it published and on store shelves how it will be recieved.

My version of Lightbringer would be similar to Linkara's, except for the Shyamalan twist at the end: there's no "slaver" gang, it's Lightbringer that is a sexually-repressed weirdo and sees every heteronormative relationship between a man and a woman as rape, and so he went on a crusade to "save" women being "whored out" by the men of Pharos City!
