You can prefer your marksman pistols all you want. I'd say the P320, P250 and P226 are the best.

And when I say, "the best," I mean "the best carry pistols in the entire world." The only reason not to carry one of those is to carry a different Sig that's almost the same damn thing, or if the Sig is too big to fit in your carry setup.

There are lots of pistols being made, but god DAMN if the P226 isn't still the gold fucking standard. There are other good brands but not a single one BETTER than Sig. The best you can say about your pistol of choice is it's maybe as good.

I use a P226 most of the time but it's not what you'd think of if one would say "I fired a Sig P226 today".
Would you think of the P226 X Six Supermatch as a P226? I sure as hell don't. It's got some of the hallmark design features but then some are missing, like the hammer reset lever.
So if we're talking high end Sig Sauer, the P210 is where it's the fuck at, boy. It's not just THE marksman 9mm Luger, it's also the better version of the Swizz army sidearm made by SIG. It's like some wheel gun manufacturer would make Colt Pythons again and you'd tell me that because it's so precise it's a marksman and not a combat gun. The fuck outta here.

It's not the accuracy alone that makes something a range toy. It's stuff like the size of the gun. If it's too long/bulky even for a carry rig, it's probably not a combat gun. Most of the time, guns are carried and not fired. Pistols need to be rig-friendly and the ones I mentioned are while still carrying a full magazine. The P226 is on the bigger side, but you can still open carry it in a holster as a sidearm for law enforcement.

There's also the cost issue. Marksman pistols tend to be much more expensive. I'd wager your supermatch is expensive as fuck. A typical sig is $800 new or $400-600 used. That might sound like a lot but it's definitely not when you consider the level of quality you get. A shitty Glock will run you $250-400 used.

I'm sure Kimber are good guns, for example, but there's a reason armies don't issue them.
