Oh ok, I thought you marathoned that long ass series , the start is kinda similar to other mech series with the variation that the main character already got some military training before the first mission.

Yeah, a lot of things in dougram are explained more than in other mech shows. Dougram itself is just the mechanized component attached to an infantry squad. It's a slightly upgraded model of mech from the normal earth federation ones. I'm a big fan of the way the show consistently uses conventional armor as well as attack helicopters. Anti-tank infantry, conventional armor and missiles from helicopters/gun emplacements are shown tearing through mechs. Pretty neat.

Yes, that use of different kind of vehicles doesn’t change during all the series, polidicks plays an important role as well specially in the last arc.
