On one of the recent HBR streams (yeah, yeah), Aydin mentioned that she's been doing cosplay and cons and shit for more than a decade, and can attest to Vic being a diva and and asshole. In a weird way, that felt nice to hear. Didn't have too much trouble believing that, but I'd only been hearing it from people out for blood, so I didn't know how seriously to take anything I was hearing from them, including (perhaps especially) the really banal shit. So it was worth some closure hearing it from someone who admits to not liking Vic personally, but still supporting his due process. And speaking of, look at the comments on the GoFundMe sometime. Many - possibly most - of them aren't even about Vic himself; they're about due process and not letting Twitter mobs ruin people. It's quite nice to see.

Yeah I heard about him being a diva years ago too even though I know fuck all about anime culture. I never questioned that and some of these VAs like Kaplan have accidentally let slip that their real problem with him is his ego. Even Sean Schemmel's little parody of him had him lashing out at his VA direction like a prima donna, but these scumbags have no issue with going far enough to accuse him of sexual assault and rape.
