Marzgunt: Queen of Hashtags (and fabricated outrage)
Re: Marzcunt: Queen of Hashtags (and fabricated outrage)
Alec Peters aka the Axanar guy is insane. If you ever have time to read through a 1700 page thread and are interested in what a joke he is, here's the place for you: https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/cbs-par ... ar.278077/
He has had a hate boner for Vic for years and is painfully beta, it's hilarious.

The guy's just salty that Paramount went after him and not Vic.da PAC Nigguh wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 4:46 amAxanar and his bullshit is the reason Paramount came down hard on Trek fan films.

According to Nick Rekieta from Rekieta Law, Sony might not defend Jaime Marchi, Monica Rial, Ron Toye and etc

Prelude to Axanar was actually very good for fan film, and it had actual cast of professionals, but Peters is pretty goddamn dumb and crazy. Afaik Paramount used the fact that he paid himself through the production to get him fucked over in the courts saying that it's not amateur production.

I hope they do what Paradox Interactive did to White Wolf: gut the whole shit out and turn it into a hollow label to use for marketing purposes.

Peters himself said it wasn't an amateur production, which didn't help his case. Also didn't help his case that money was disappearing while he flew around going to conventions to promote Axanar but no movie was ever made.jpakke wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 9:58 amPrelude to Axanar was actually very good for fan film, and it had actual cast of professionals, but Peters is pretty goddamn dumb and crazy. At any rate if he 's jumping in with the KickVic stuff there should be plenty of popcorn material since he can't contain his crazy.

Sony owns Aniplex which also does dubbing. This could be a reason to sell off the Texas studio and drop the dead weight at Funi and just keep their anime licenses for their own streaming service they're planning to roll out.

He was also trying to sell licensed merchandise and clearly running a for-profit venture. It was classic "this is why we can't have nice things" behavior.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 3:33 pmPeters himself said it wasn't an amateur production, which didn't help his case.
