So, on something of a lark, I checked out the discussion on Vic's page on BTVA (Behind the Voice Actors; kind of a VA database, also a spot where a lot of amateur projects hold open auditions). I was expecting wall-to-wall BELEIVE WAHMEN, but I was actually pleasantly surprised. There was a split, but neither side was being overly vitriolic, and the general mood seemed sympathetic toward Vic. It doesn't seem like the anime fandom is apt to knuckle under to this sort of thing. And speaking of the anime community...
