I haven't seen anyone mention anywhere that Monica was in an anime Vic directed at Funi a little over a year ago called Juni Taisen. Another nail in the 'victim' coffin that she'd take a job where she'd be working so closely with him, and mostly alone just him and an engineer. There's no way she considered this guy a threat of any kind.
