Re: The Other people on Channel Awesome
All filmed in a fucking conference room with fucking whiteboards and everything.
Reminder that Primer was made by people with less filmmaking experience than these CA dropouts allegedly have and for not much more money either.

Not ten minutes in, and I'm already reeling with second-hand embarrassment. Like... these people are going to tell me what good writing, storytelling, acting and filmmaking are? For fucking real?

What's the point of comparing adults with autistic manbabies? Most of the people from TGWTG have precisely zero experience that's usable. Just because you start writing some drivel or turn on a camera doesn't automatically mean you're gaining any meaningful experience. It's the same with cooking, burning a fucking onion (equivalent of what most of the efforts of TGWTG creators led to) 100 times into a crisp doesn't give you any real experience.
All most of these people know about filmaking or storytelling can be learned in half a year, I am convinced of that. Not because I would be that knowledgeable about filmaking, but because they know jack all.
That could be deadly.

Blessed are the shitposters, for they will be called children of the Sperg.

Clearly you don't understand the epic pwnage people like Erod, Linkara, and Lupa have dealt to Zack Snyder. Batman vs. Superman's main problem was that it wasn't filmed in front of a whiteboard and Superman wasn't a pasty supreme gentleman in a vest and fedora with floppy mantits.Dingus Bajingus wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 4:52 pmNot ten minutes in, and I'm already reeling with second-hand embarrassment. Of course he will. He has to make do with what few crossover choices (with people willing to play along his cringy story) he has left.
This is especially hilarious considering one of his "Take this, Doge!" tweets had him proclaim that he no longer needs CA because the "best parts" of CA (supposedly Lupa and LInkie) have left with him.Poonoo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 1:35 pmBut he flat out says they were not his Top 2 choices and it's a follow up tweet to him saying the only local actor he could get was the woman who played the villain. I really think he means what he says he means, since there are more tweets of him saying he had no options and that many people ignored him.
His show - and storyline - would be a lot better if he actually did that.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

The reason I'll always keep bringing up movies like that, hell even garbage like Blair Witch, is because it shatters the delusions these TGWTG rejects have that they have any amount of filmmaking talent and could produce good shit if given the budget for it. Bullshit. Fucking first-time filmmakers working in their spare time as a hobby (not even doing it to pay their billth) make films 100x better than any of these shopping cart faggots. Linkara got, what? 50 grand to make his movie? And it still was shit that looked no better than a circa-2010 Nostalgia Critic episode. Some Sick Fuck wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 5:14 pmWhat's the point of comparing adults with autistic manbabies? Re: The Other people on Channel Awesome
I always cut the Channel Awesome productions a tiny bit slack, because they were just anniversary specials in the end, but Linkara not even bothering to do take the camera off the tripod is what blows my mind. Even if he had zero experience, didn't he at least want to do something cool? Use some angles or something, anything? James Rolfe at least made his movie look like a movie, not like an hour and a half long Nerd episode.da PAC Nigguh wrote: ↑Sat Feb 02, 2019 1:17 amThe reason I'll always keep bringing up movies like that, hell even garbage like Blair Witch, is because it shatters the delusions these TGWTG rejects have that they have any amount of filmmaking talent and could produce good shit if given the budget for it. Re: The Other people on Channel Awesome
You know, this is actually making me realise how easy it would be to make some money off of these idiots and their fan bases if you did it the right way.
Grab the former CA nobodies and ask them to come along to a shoot, where they will get money, and tell them I want to start a new YT channel that would sort of feel like the old CA, where it's more of a community and there's a sense of comraderie, but it's all through one channel. Everyone promotes it and does one vlog review or something like that a week, so that way the subscribers have more chance of seeing each other's videos instead of them being buried. I'd also grab Moviebob and pitch it as him being the second unit director so he can make a start on his movie career, while also mentioning that being Australian I wouldn't be able to film any other movies so maybe he could be the director of other projects. And Sterling as well, dude has an audience that gives him $10k a month, I want some of that.
After that shoot, I would ask some of them to get together once a week and make a podcast/show stream where they just chat about shit and point out that if it gets a lot of views, we could get sponsors, meaning they would get more money. So of course they would promote the shit out of the channel, which helps it get more money on top of the donations. And then, once the ball is rolling, get them together again for another project but this time tell them that you've decided you want them to have more creative control, so you stick them together for a week to discuss what to do next, with camera people recording the fights and arguments so you can cut them together and put it up as a new reality show.
If you do it right, they'd be doing all the work for you and you wouldn't even have to lift a finger after a while.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you a strong, independent woman...
At least she's not begging for an oil change her useless husband can't afford.

Re: The Other people on Channel Awesome
She has another bit full of dark liquid that needs frequent changing.
