I want to add again that there absolutely are aid programs that will help you cover medical needs. I don't see any possible reason why Spoony couldn't get 100% of his medical costs covered by the state. Now, they won't cover all the extra hypochondriac bullshit he probably wants or expects doctors to do for him, but they'll cover basic stuff like doctor's visits, scrips, therapy/counseling (probably) and dental.

I'm not saying health care in burgerland is good. It's rough if you're too poor to get good insurance but too "rich" to be on welfare. But spoony could get on medicaid. And ER visits are basically free if you have no money.

People over-exaggerate how brutal burgerland health care is. If you have a medical emergency, go to the ER or urgent care and figure out the rest later. There will always be a way to either work something out or have them write it off. Hospitals write off millions every year and often operate at a loss or barely break even. I know people who work in medical billing. If you want a villain here, insurance companies are the ones who try to figure out any way possible to skip out of paying what they're supposed to. They waste time and increase patient stress by forcing the hospital to bill and re-bill over and over. They dick their customers and the hospitals around to artificially make their numbers look better.

I am not at all surprised he crashed into someone and good riddance that he doesn't have any car, because that just about removes one of the only options he's had to hurt other people. The way he talks about it makes it sound like it wasn't insured, which given Spoony, I could believe (unless it's illegal in burgerland, I don't know).

Loathe as I am to even slightly defend social media, it isn't even Twitter's fault, really. The way people behave on social media is less directly tied to the platform itself, and more the result of the (goddam fucking accursed) self-esteem movement of the past few decades. There is no way he was driving uninsured. He simply cannot be that stupid. It's a major problem if you cause an accident while driving without insurance. You will get sued, fined and have your license suspended.
