I'm just setting this up because tomorrow is the release. I'll try to unlock and check out my boy King Dedede as quickly as possible and see for myself what has changed.

Joker from Persona 5's gonna be the first DLC character in Smash, and Banjo fags are SEETHING.

I've been playing since midnight so about eight hours. Finally, I've unlocked King Dedede. This is the first time I'm feeling somewhat competent at the game all night.
It doesn't look much like it from nearly all videos but it's much, much faster than Brawl or Tr4sh. Much faster.
Jump cancelling isn't in the game anymore. That's a shame, really. No more Mewtwo drifting across the entire stage during an upsmash anymore. But the universal landing lag reduction and being able to execute all tilts out of sprint lag free makes up for it. How's a Little Mac going to cope without jump cancelled upsmash? Easy, downtilt out of sprint whenever. Combos into either sidesmash, upangled sidesmash, upsmash, sidetilt or KO punch depending on percentage.

The king is really good now. Ledgeguarding actually being a thing now benefits him greatly. Landing lag is nice and low. Being able to have a working downtilt and being able to do it from sprint is awesome. Inhale is fast and since you can just inhale your own gordos those become much better as well.
King Dedede is going to be fire. Mark my words. He's going to be low tier but hype as fuck.

Joker from Persona is pretty left field. My hope of a Hollow Knight DLC is still alive.

I'm still waiting for my physical copy to turn up, took a day off and everything. Feels bad man.
