I watched a bit at the beginning, I get that it's supposedly comedy show, but he already got simple facts wrong. CD32 didn't kill Commodore, it was already in the grave, but actually CD32 might have saved C= if they could've manufactured more, as there was demand for it. They didn't have money to manufacture more as no one was willing to loan them the money.

Nah, Commodore already buttfucked the moment Jack Trammel Trammiel left the company. The whole topic of how insanely hard they botched the Amiga brand alone would make for a tl;dw video series. I do feel James was being a tad generous in regards to their wanning days. The Commodore CDTV and Amiga 600, to name a few, were even bigger disasters.

Oh, don't get me started on Commodore and Amiga, I know that history all too well. Even if by some miracle C= would've been saved from bankruptcy at that time, they'd been doomed to die sooner or later anyway, probably sooner. Amiga 1000 and 500 were fucking killer machines at the launch, but they suffered from the same shit as many other tech companies has in the similar situation: they didn't keep up with the progress, Amiga 1200 and 4000 were too little too late. Less said about A600 the better.

It just occurred to me that the Addams Family line was because the second AF movie was out around that time. It doesn't make sense now, but people in '93 would have gotten it.

I have to admit, this show is much better with Doge and especially Brad.

That was actually fun. I laughed and found myself recalling my own video store memories. (Ditto with the adult section. Peered in one time, found it disappointing, and decided to check out the action section again.) If James could get more people with screen presence on this series, I may watch more.

I didn't know about the Chuck E. Cheese movie posters. There's a bit of useless trivia to save in my "start an awkward conversation" file drawer.

One day the camera crew had to go home early for personal reasons, so they told Doge early in the day that would be the case. He forgot to tell anyone, so at the end of the day we didn't have enough cars to take everyone back to the hotel/dinner. Phelan, Julien, and I got left behind while everyone else went to Applebee's.

Didn't watch the video yet but the adult section in video stores over here was where you actually had to go to rent vidya that was on the index. See, if a game was denied the USK18 seal it wasn't outright banned. You just weren't allowed to openly advertise it. So in the video store, which was where you rented games because there were no dedicated game stores, all of those games were in the porn section, which you could only enter when you were 18 or over.

It was always funny going there. You had to go through a labyrinth of shelves full of funny-named porn movies to get to the games. We always had a great laugh because German porn movies tend to have silly puns for titles and they loved to make parodies of popular movies and such. So you'd see shit like "Aladdin und die Wunderlampe" (Aladdin and the Wonderlamp) but it'd be "Aladdin und die wunde Schlampe" (Aladdin and the sore bitch) and stuff like that. The porn section was a riot.
