On that note I’ve been watching Cowboy Bebop, when does it get good? I’m at episode 7 right and whilst aesthetically the show is great the plot and structure leaves much to be desired. It feels like they storyboard for an hour and then have to cram it into 20 minutes- every episode has played out the same. I feel all of the 90s popular anime are overrated and simply became lionised by a bunch of teenagers whose only exposure to animation was Disney.

You're gonna need to watch more than 7 episodes there lupa. Most of the big story stuff comes in two-parters and you're not even up to those yet. And you really, really, really can't judge the series without watching Real Folk Blues.

You're not wrong. For example, Doge Walker hates anime EXCEPT for Cowboy Bebop and Miyazaki.
Cowboy Bebop is a neat little show, but I wouldn't put it in my favorites list. It's really just Lupin III in space.
If you want a really great space outlaw show, watch (Space Adventure) Cobra.

The writing on Cowboy Bebop is more mediocre than people like to admit. The thing is, it has FANTASTIC animation, art direction and soundtrack, and the English voice dub was the highest quality you could get at the time. It also noticeably lacks everything that continues to make weebshit awkward for non autists. Sure, it's got women with big bouncing titties, but they look like pinup models and act like femme fatales, not childlike retards with beach balls glued to their chests. It's an anime that you can feel cool watching instead of ashamed, and that is fucking rare indeed. Considering what it was competing with then, and even now, I understand why it's become so legendary. It's an example of how your ideas don't have to be revolutionary if your execution is kino.

Cobra is true anikino. Its also the best sports anime ever too. (except for One Outs, maybe)

Thus my reason for hating anime persists causing me to exclaim "Why can't it just be good right now? Plenty if things start good, are good, and end good". This is always a problem with anime for me. They pad out 4 hours of actual interesting shit with 8 more hours of pointless bullshit.

I think the entire run of bebop doesn't even come to 12 hours, nigger. Unless you count movies which I don't.
