No but seriously, SF3 was bad until third strike. SF4 was bad until AE2012 at absolute best. A lot of bad fightan games get released. If people join to play a shitty fightan game, maybe they'll move on from it eventually and play something worthwhile. Someone who really likes SF4 will probably seek out Third Strike and the alpha games.

And now that SFV has been out for a while, we can no longer say that SF4 is the worst the series will endure. At least SF4 has actual street fighter mechanics and decent balance.

He was correct about those games and also that Mahvel was fucking garbage. But then he also can't stand 3rd Strike. I have yet to hear from him what fitan gaem he likes at all.

Very likely. Virtua Fighter is always the fitan named when one's taste is called into question to appear sophisticated, despite most people never having played any of them.
