So about that review of Night of the Living Dead

Terrible, like all his others. Pretty ballsy for him to lie and nitpick such a classic film rather than a forgettable children’s cartoon. Though considering his fan base consists of kids who want to see “funny clown man shout” I doubt they would be able to pull him up on it.

I heard somewhere that Doge doesn't pick his own films to review anymore, so I think now it's just whatever Michaud watched(or googled) that week.

It’s decent. It created a new horror subgenre, but it’s one of those movies that a lot of people know about but haven’t seen. When I mention that the zombies in this one move fast and act somewhat intelligent, people say that’s not how zombies are supposed to act.

I got the DVD years ago as a gift. When I looked at the back, I saw that Michael J. Nelson had done a commentary track for it.

Well, wasn't that the intentional point? IIRC Romero was making a statement there how blacks were treated as a second class citizens in murica, how that guy who shot him didn't really even care was he a zombie or not. Romero was being an SJW 50 years ahead of its time!

I agree with pibbs, NotLD isn't really that good, but I do appreciate it as a trailblazer of its genre.

It's fine. If one is interested in the genre at all, one should've watched it at some point. For it's time, it's good. At least it doesn't drag out for hours and hours like current Disney shit.
