Well, that's the liberal ideology in a nutshell. They believe that women and minorities are these perfect little angels who never have sinister motivations or act dishonestly

There is one unforgivable sin that women and minorities can commit: BE CONSERVATIVE.

As for Kanye West, he seems to get a pass because people think he's crazy. I've seen some people rationalize it by saying that he's trolling. Meanwhile, the music press and world of pop culture writers have written millions of words of gushing praise about him that I don't think they're ready to take back. I think they're hoping that he has some kind of left-wing awakening. He was the "George Bush doesn't care about black people" guy, after all.

Kanye is eccentric and rich but also disillusioned by fame. I believe he speaks his mind and that's it.
