Event Horizon was silly schlock.

It was fun and sometimes kinda creepy, even though ultimately it didn't really work. Like, the ideas and concept seem to be there, and the ship is creepy enough, but it was made by the same dude who's crowning achievements are Mortal Kombat 1 and some of the Resident Evil movies, it just was never going to cohesively function as a legitimately good movie.

Still, I admire it for being an ambitious failure made by a guy who was biting off more than he could chew. And that inter-dimensional Hell tape was awesome. If you look closely you can see a couple women being raped during that segment. Fucking hot.

DHI overall seems more indifferent about CA than anything.

We were more pissy about them during the busystreet days, but they're such an old meme it's impossible to feel strong emotions over the nostalgia doge kid's channel. I did some real old videos a few years ago about Doge and it really felt like I was wasting my time with an old meme all those years ago. So I mean, obviously I feel even more that way now.

CA was always shit, but it's the boring kind of shit there's nothing to talk about. TGWTG being incompetent was always known and they were always ebeggars who would take fan money and spend it on stupid shit. Pop Quiz Hotshit was a rather famous example of money mismanagement, where everyone at DHI claimed from the first episode that Doge took the money and pocketed it. It was clear from the garbage set and props that no money went into that show, so whatever they collected was spent on themselves.

Thing is, everything bad you can say about TGWTG is true for Brad. He's a massive beggar with infinite greed who regularly acts entitled to fan dollars. His videos are as awful as anything put out by the nostalgia doge walker, yet he acts like he has some worthwhile opinion on what movies are good or not. Meanwhile he's incapable of doing the most basic shit with film-making without falling on his face.

I am willing to bet Brad was free to leave CA whenever he wanted, but stuck with them cause he wanted the extra attention it got him. And if he was actually dumb enough to sign a contract and become obligated to do all these crossovers with Doge and co, then he deserve to sit in the mess he got himself into.

Multiple ex-CA people said that there was NO contract between them and the company, so we can safely discard that possibility. Sure, Brad probably just wanted the traffic that was coming through Doge (remember, Linkara was bitching about a decrease in views right after he left), and he himself said that he's good friends with the Walker retards.

The "Based Brad" meme, however, either was started or made popular by LordKat and his cavalcade of orbiters during his "shit on Channel Awesome" podcasts - and since the Farms love to trollshield him because of his CA leaks, they swallowed that bullshit whole.

I thought based brad was born because of him being "the only good one." Good enough where people wanted him to be on RLM instead. But I think he hung out too much with Linkara or something because around 2015 is when he became pure shit.
