All you have to do is watch that clip from Raiders where Indy dusts that expert swordsman.

Re: Spoony... nothing else to say really
I'm no martial arts expert and I've never done karate, but from doing quite a bit of judo and aikido I've found that being tall is actually an incredible disadvantage because it's harder to catch smaller people than you off-balance.
Also our instructors have never encouraged us to use it in a fight. It is more about learning a new skill, a bit of discipline and meeting people. That last part is why I doubt further that Cuckson has really taken classes.

Karate is an extracurricular activity for little kids. Using it for self defense is only effective in that it may force your attacker into laughing so hard that they lose their composure.

Re: Spoony... nothing else to say really
The most useful thing I learned from martial arts is to recognize signs of trouble and not be in places where shit is about to go down. And not to underestimate others. Just general self-awareness shit you could learn from growing up in a bad neighborhood. Don't look like a victim.
Go look at legit martial arts videos people make about weapon defense. If they don't at least once say "you're pretty fucked" "run away" or "this is going to be really fucking hard and you will get cut up/shot" then they're not legit. A lot of them will say that shit though. Haven't ever heard anything about arm shattering. 8^)

That's some "Crouching tiger, hidden dragon" shit in practice.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2017 9:09 pmThe most useful thing I learned from martial arts is to recognize signs of trouble and not be in places where shit is about to go down. As much as Cuckson and gang brag about how they're limbs are registered as lethal weapons and shit, there is a very good reason why many older martial arts like Kung-Fu teach weapon usage, even if it's something basic as a stick.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2017 9:09 pmGo look at legit martial arts videos people make about weapon defense. And then you have stuff like Jujutsu, which was less about "Now I'm gonna kick your ass" and more about "This makes me slightly less screwed if someone disarms me in battle".
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Re: Spoony... nothing else to say really
Martial arts keeps your body fit, teaches your body not to tremble in fear when there's trouble, and helps you make decisions under pressure. It's really easy to get your brain frozen, when you're not used to a real fight situation. That extra 2-3 seconds you saved by quick thinking, might just save your life. It saved mine. That's how I managed to escape those muggers, after sucker-punched one of them. I have 4 years in karate, 2 years in jiu-jitsu, and have gone back to karate again in the last 2 years. But whenever I meet someone holding a knife, damn straight I will always run to the opposite direction.
Plus, it's surprisingly easy to outrun someone who doesn't train regularly, so there's another benefit of martial arts for you. I don't care if it sounds pathetic, it worked for me.

I wonder why Cuckson loves to brag about his fake Toxic Masculinity™, I think that's totally haram in SJWs. He should just appreciate cultural enrichment or something like that instead of "shattering arms." What an infidel.

Hello, Cuckson

They're also illegal in fighting tournaments, Daniel should have been disqualified in The Karate Kid. (also for directly kicking someone in the face)VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2017 9:22 pmCrane kicks are real, man.da PAC Nigguh wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2017 9:06 pmKarate is an extracurricular activity for little kids. That's actually a bit complicated. (Sports)Judo/BJJ/Wrestling/etc has unified rules but that's not the case with Karate. Different Karate styles have different rules. Noticeable ones might be light contact traditional Karate, you-can-kick-his-face-but-you-can't-with-punches Kyokushin style and some kick-boxing-y rules.Guru Larry wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2017 1:30 amThey're also illegal in fighting tournaments, Daniel should have been disqualified in The Karate Kid. I guess Daniel-san was fighting under Kyokushin or Kickboxingy rule.
