You have to wait three years to get your green card if you marry a US citizen, your spouse is the one who does the paperwork and it's not an automatic path to naturalisation. So, clearly her citizenship had nothing to do with being married to Donald. You could argue that Donald helped her get permanent residence but even that was predicated on her being a proper international model who qualified for a certain visa
