Just found out they removed the "Wanna be a man" song and Shang for some random guy.

I'm pretty sure they removed Shang because his relationship with Mulan could be interpreted as gay. Then Disney got flack from their target audience because Shang has apparently been memed into a gay icon, so they hastily said that his character was roughly split into two or something.

Wasn't the next movie after that Highlander: The Source?

Yup. The failed attempt of the SyFy Channel to start a Highlander trilogy (that didn't really have much to do with Highlander).

The sci-fi retcon shouldn't be surprising for anyone that moved from DB to DBZ. It is a logical evolution.

In what way is Skyfall even remotely like The World Is Not Enough?
