Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, etc. all carry products over $1, including Xmas trees. (I've bought a tablet and Blu-ray player at my local store.) True "dollar stores" are rare anymore.

Dollar Tree is "Everything $1 or less".

Family Dollar and Dollar General are the ones people confuse as real dollar stores.

In my experience Dollar Tree truly only carries $1 items. It's more comparable to the 99cents Only store chain, although even they break the rule by having more expensive items like milk and their own frozen pizza brand, plus a whole lot of clearance toys (hope you kids like Battle B-Daman)
