He didn't go anywhere. Yeah he says he went for a walk and he says he helped return a lost dog, but we all know about him and his relationship with the truth. Miles probably returned the dog and told him about it

Although stories of heroism are very likely fake, I actually do think Spoony goes outside more often these days.
Most of the stress of his life in Illinois (foreclosure, girlfriend leaving him, no dremels, icicles, long grass, fallen branches, unpaid billth, microwaving burritos) is gone now. Miles takes care of it all. He's still an unemployed 41 year old living off family charity but he's "sick" so it's fine in his mind. Since he's moved to Arizona his sad-posting has dropped about 90%.

Because it's hard for him to do without admitting that he's such a failure he's had to move back home to live with his brother.

Notice we had to suss out that he was back living with Miles through clues (the pictures of the couch, largely). I don't think he ever once, even now, came out and outright admitted he's back living in Arizona. His narcissism would never once permit him to admit he failed that badly

He's happier now than he was two years ago. He's probably even happier now than he was before he moved to Illinois because back then there was at least some loose expectation he'd have to do work. Aside from when he sees an ad for the Jimmy Kimmel show, I think his "depression" is largely gone. He sits around playing video games and watching wrestling with zero responsibilities. I expect he does take this dog for a walk a few times a week while Oreo got once a day release to the jungle backyard.

Seems he was mainly depressed because owning a serious adult house meant adult responsibility. Now he has his family take care of all this grown-up stuff.
