If she's not working at all, then it raises the question why she would be living in Kanazawa in the first place. It's a fairly popular tourist place to visit for a couple of days, but not exactly a top choice for foreigners to live in for months on end. Not like Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto are lacking in share houses aimed at foreigners.
