It's a safe animu for normies to watch without getting too alienated by weird animu stuff.

I mean I like little girl feet as much as the next person but this seemed just a little over indulgent.

I didn't think it was bad either but just didn't seem as great to me as "peepl have been sayan".
The real touch of death was that I also only had the English dub since I was also told it is actually not bad as far as those dubs go. But I didn't like it very much. Both Faith and Ed sound super annoying (unless that was the original intention), and even if Jet's last name is "Black", I just couldn't picture he would actually speak niggonese.

Tbf all waifus sound like shit when a Burger VA is involved. The entire dubbing industry seems to only use a handful of female voice types, all in varying degrees of annoying.

Do they not have subs in your language? But it seems like you should be able to read English subs too.

It's just a good rule to never watch dubs. They're always inferior.

I suppose regarding 21st century Ghibli films, it doesn't matter either way because the voice work sucks in both languages. All thanks to Miyazaki's autistic hatred of professional seiyuu.
