I believe him that he went to him school. I do because schools for the entertainment industry are complete garbage. You can see with CalArts with animation on how the new animators can't draw jack shit. I won't surprised that film schools teach people on how to film like shit.

I'm less surprised at shit teaching and more surprised by how anyone with a pair of eyes - a pair that has reviewed countless films, no less - can't tell what looks good on camera and what doesn't.

Like, even when me and my friends were screwing around with a camera in high school, I could look and say "hey, that came out nice, we should do it more like that".

His camerawork looks like something a used car salesman who never finished high school would film himself for a commercial in some town in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. At least CalArts does their shitty animation to save money by making things as cheap as possible. It wouldn't cost ERod any more money to have better camerawork. He would just need to put in a little more effort and know what the fuck he's doing.

Not for me. Few INs actually seem to get better at their craft. Having a healthy dose of Dunning-Kruger appears to be an entry requirement.
