But, same, I hope they try to do some original stuff again, just to get back at the CTC crowd. They have a loyal but testy audience, so if they want to do anything original, it's going to have to be done in baby steps.

If he launched a pilot and said "Hey, we're just testing the waters, tell us what you think" instead of scrapping his cash cow this time around, it'd probably get a better response.

Demo Reel could have been OK if they had ditched the behind the scenes storyline stuff with the director and just focused on making funny skits instead. They put a storyline in their stupid game show, too. I don't know why they keep forcing storylines into formats that shouldn't have them.

Really, any of them could do this. If the former CA people got together and shot something, it'd could get enough attention to warrant continuing it, but they won't because Doge isn't there to do it for them. But if instead Doge puts something together he could actually sell on a DVD/Bluray without getting into legal issues and it becomes a hit? We'd have material from the others for years.
