Anyway, there are other white people in the cast too, so it's still dumb as fuck not to have Irons back.

The only non-chosen there is CURRENT YEAR MAN and even that's debatable

They are casting white boys only for comical sidekick parts, it's almost like they are making some sort of statement here. It's quite clever actually to cast nearly all black voice cast. You'll have a guaranteed praise from western critics, but you can also sell your negro movie to the black-loathing Chinese market as it gets dubbed there anyway.

I never much cared of The Lion King, I hate those singing scenes and I generally hate Disney. At the moment I can't come up with anything less interesting than blaxploitation TLK remake made in all CGI. Why the fuck CGI? Who really wants to watch that shit? They should make a real live action movie of it and dress actors in animal costumes in the spirit of Cowardly Lion from The Wizard of Oz (or in this case they could change the characters from lions to apes). That would be something I could consider to watch. They can keep their CGI shite.
