Every Cuckson believes his Ultima review was his magnum shit but in reality, right from the get go, he made a mistake about how Ultima 1 was the first text heavy game which pushed the hardware limit as if all those ancient text adventure games (like Zork) never existed. (it's image/animation files which actually push the size limit idiot!)

Dude really sucks at researches/analytical reviews I suspect it was a quite painful job for him. He was much better when he didn't pretend to be a pretentious classic gaming historian.

I don't know about video games; although given how amazingly inept he seems to be at playing them, I wouldn't doubt.
As for his tabletop RPG stories though, you can pretty much tell much of it is made up.
