You're joking, but there is a big difference between western and eastern slavs. In my country, if you didn't have a flushing toilet, you would be considered a freak. In Russia, it's apparently normal for a lot of people, mainly those living outside of the few big cities they have. There is a big gap between rich and poor in Russia.
