Who was your favorite character in Guardians 2 ? Mine was Yondu
That is tough, it's easier to bring up the characters I didn't like. Though Yondu probably had the best character arc of all of them.

SpoilerShow
Especially with him revealing that he kept Quill away from his father because his Dad killed all the other ones because they didn't inherit his magic shit, and he assumed he would die too. That and him connecting with Rocket and revealing how similar they both are. Rocket being heartbroken by his death was a great moment since it's the only person he was ever able to relate too.

And that's another thing, in most Marvel shit he would not have died. They would have pulled a Tony Stark in Avengers 1 where he ended up being okay in the end. That alone makes it better, knowing that what happens in these movies can actually effect future ones makes the drama matter more. Groot becoming Baby Groot in the first movie is another example of this, the other marvel movies are so fucking safe that they would never do this shit or just write if off later.

So this capeshit was actually ok then? I'm kind of amazed. Guardians 1 was ok but not anything I'd watch again.

It's exactly like Guardians 1 but with better music. You'll laugh, have a good time, then never have the urge to watch it ever again. It's a jokey CGI fest.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, for the first time. Damn fine movie. I found the family very interesting.

King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword is a legit good movie. Fuck the critics. It moves swiftly, is never boring, and the editing is amazing. I wish more movies were edited this way.

It's also a man's man movie, which I think is at the heart of the criticism. It's about a boy who became a self-sufficient man despite his dire circumstances, and who defeats the beta-cuck millennial-esque villain through sheer manliness. Arthur isn't saved by the love of a woman, he saves the day his damn self just because. It kind of reminds me of Guardians 2, which is also about fathers and sons and all that shit, with little room for romance. Chicks and pipe-armed beta boys can't stand it, hence the bizarrely bad reviews.

tl;dr Feminism has infected society and movies about real men dealing with real man problems aren't welcome.
