Watch Trailer Park Boys instead. It's a much better anime.

Is Full Metal Alchemist really that good ? By good I mean, it's not a typical weeb shit with panty flashing and accidental boob grabbing? I can watch it on Amazon prime but 64 episodes looks a bit intimidating.
It's pretty boss for shounen stuff. And the gags are a lot more high-brow, don't you worry.

(They're mainly about how Edward gets triggered when people call him small. And at least the manga had omake gags about Alphonse carrying around cats in his suit.)

Brotherhood is pretty good. It doesn't have too much stupid anime trope bullshit in it.

New designs and cast revealed for LOGH remake.
Too lazy to link, just know it's worse than you could ever have imagined.

I didn't even know FMA has 2 anime adaptations and I noticed later one (Brotherhood) is very highly rated on many user review sites. I'm sold, I'll check out first few episodes.

I've gotten bored and decided to try some of this season's anime. I decided to check out mecha anime DARLING in the FRANKXX after ANN was going on about it, with pics:

I find the dual piloting aspect (Pic 1) utterly hilarious, where the girl has to get on all fours in front of the guy and has handles pop out of her ass.
The monsters remind me of the Angels from Evangelion.

Funny thing is, I think I'm actually starting to like the show unironically. Its sci-fi universe is very odd and I'm enjoying trying to figure out what's really going on.

If the guys at ANN didn't get triggered hard by this blatant objectification of waifus, I will feel very offended.

If only Hope Chipman could dump her Skype logs into an "article" so we could know for sure.

It's DARLING in the FRANXX. You fucked up the pun in the title.

At first I dismissed it after reading a crappy synopsis and seeing the promo poster, but after skimming through some threads
on /a/ I gave it a shot and I must say I did enjoy it through the first 5 episodes, in the 6th they resolved the only big plot-pont they had, with an underwhelming overhyped battle and slammed the breaks so hard that the 7th episode was a fucking beach episode. A beach episode in the middle of a cour of a mecha anime, and the bots are only in the opening in that episode, they even changed the ED to make it smoother. The PV for episode 8 doesn't include many reassuring elements, so if they don't find another source of conflict (other then the forced love-triangle drama) it will flop really hard.

As to watching it (un)ironically, You just cannot take the way the bots are piloted seriously, it's impossible, but the show tries to take it as serious as it only can, which makes me want to watch it only to know will it snap at some point. Stuff like this in current year + 3 is unthinkable.

She cannot, but her new incarnation did, he didn't gave it a positive review and did compare it to EVA.

They in contrast to me want to see the show break and to deliver the ultimate message that forced heteronormativity is evil.

which wouldn't be hard in this show. Their post-apocalyptic society seems like some sort of a totalitarian regime with a bit of theocracy with the God-emperor called Papa at the top.
