Ultimately, it all depends on how the author wraps up the story. Things got meh to some extent but imo it's still redeemable.

The state of anime now is such that if something isn't a huge success, it won't get another season. Titan obviously was big for the first season, when it was able to get by on style and those unanswered questions were teased to be addressed later. But I checked the wiki for it early on to make sure I wasn't missing anything and I wasn't. It really is retarded and nothing is answered in a satisfying way.

The goal with anime was always to just make a cheapo shitty commercial for the manga/LN.
It's been like this since they started making shitty OVA's without ending's in the 80's.

The only thing I can think of that applies is the stupid davy back fight. But it was more like a sports contest. It was still stupid though because the straw hats accepted the challenge for no raisin even though the other side were very obviously planning to cheat and stack the deck.

Just tell them to fuck off and kill them dead if they get in your face about it. At the very least, Zoro or somebody should have floated the idea as a possibility. "It's the rules" doesn't mean shit when we're talking about fucking PIRACY and you know the other side will break the rules anyway.

It was also retarded when Luffy took their flag for no raisin at the end. The flag had no value and was never used again for anything.

Wan Piss is generally better than most stupid shounen, but sometimes it's still bad.

I slowed down reading around the stupid merman shit after the time skip. Blah blah nobody cares, straw hats are strong now and Hody is fucking boring.

Edit: I just checked and it's not uncommon for one piece fans to think post-timeskip sucks compared to pre.

I didn't mind the Dressrosa tournament because the contestants where fun and the arc didn't revolve entirely around it. Only Luffy is even in it while the rest of his crew are off doing the actual important stuff.

Bleach is still worse though. Bleach is worse than everything. It might legit be the worst shounen manga to be so popular.

You're not kidding. Especially the last arc is like the To Boldly Flee of shounenshit. I guarantee you that Kubo was just trolling and seeing how long he could draw this shit out before Jump loses its shit and cancels it.

I haven't read/watched Boruto but it looks like a different kind of bad (the manga in particular.) Bleach is something special.

Naruto is still going, in both animu and mango format. Bleach's anime ended 4 years before the manga did.

Bleach is basically every bad shounen trope you can think of (safe for "Muh power of friendship will save the day!"). It has the "amazing" combination of a bloated cast and battles that go on forever thanks to padding and asspulls, which is especially noticable because 98% of all fights in this are duels. Also Kubo's only idea of making the bland protagonist interesting involves turning his backstory into an oddly convoluted clusterfuck for a guy who just hits really hard and shoots out blade hadokens.

The final arc is especially bad with way too many villains, of which at least three had different shades of "I Win" powers (namely "Hitting me only makes me stronger", "I can no-sell anything and send it back to you with increased power", and "I can just make shit up and it happens").

If it didn't get cancelled, those three boss fights would've been going on for months, if not years. Mr. "Hitting me only makes me stronger" alone had like half of the cast take turns fighting him.

I'm actually looking forward to that live-action movie (if it actually does come out) because they can pretty much screw the source material as much as they want and still end up with a superior product.
