I have been applying for jobs in Japan like a madman, some of which are exactly the job I do now, and I keep hoping and praying somebody finally goes, "Oh, you already do exactly what we're asking for, get over here already." No bites yet, though.

I realize Japan has had this small rise in right-wing insanity as of late, but fankly, there are few places that haven't, and I have to choose which country's specific brand of bullshit I'm willing to tolerate the most, and right now I'm still willing to take that bet on Japan despite it all.
