He turned out to be a "bad" choice, so obviously it was someone else who put him there.

Except Jerome Powell has been extremely based during this whole unstable 100+ days of Trump doing whatever the fuck he feels like.

Trump is just mad Powell can't be manipulated and is refusing to let Trump play with all of the financial institutions influencing the market.

Trump appointing Powell is just more proof that Trump during his first term was based and Trump now is a deranged idiot.

Trump has a really retarded plan to use tariffs to pay for everything (especially his tax breaks for billionaires). This dumb plan of his requires him to manipulate interest rates so he can fix the US debt crisis. Powell won't do that because Powell doesn't feel like crashing the entire economy because of one orange reeeetard. So now Trump wants to remove Powell (he's wanted to for months now) and install a flunky who will let him continue the blatant market manipulation.

Especially when Powell is largely responsible for the market not going into complete banana republic chaos mode.

Reminder that the way Trump has been manipulating crypto values would be illegal IF the crypto market were in any way regulated like currencies or the stock market. He pumped the shit out of his valueless memecoins via various methods of legalized bribery/corruption (if you hold x amount of his coin, you get favors from him, etc.) He did the same thing with the $100,000 watches.

Basically, Powell is the only person standing in the way and preventing Trump from doing the same pump and dump shit with the stock market and American currency. We are already experiencing de-dollarization, which is part of the reason why values of assets like bitcoin have skyrocketed in price here in the USA. Part of it is the value of bitcoin, but part of it is the falling value of the dollar. Powell is keeping a lid on hyperinflation the way things are now. Trump THINKS he can tank the value of US debt, re-consolidate the debt and then return everything back to normal right after. But shit doesn't work that way.
