The Lilo sequel absolutely was, but I have fond memories of the show that came about from it; so whatever.

DHI is proof you can be both a massive homosexual and a virgin. They're not exclusive. If you display both in large enough quantities you can qualify for mod status.

Did Disney give up their attempt to corner the anime market? I remember at one point they had the rights to a bunch of anime and were even doing adaptions of their own work like Stitch.

The A in DHI stands for autism.

I think they just wanted to add some animu to their Disney+ portfolio, either to compete with Netflix and/or to have something that people actually watch.

In the past, Disney had a good relationship with Miyazaki through John Lasseter, but after he got fired for inappropriate hugging, that relationship went away.

I remember they had Jetix, I never had cable but knew people who did and that was their action cartoon/anime block I think.

I just searched Disney anime and found something called Twisted Wonderland. The fuck is this?!?!

Nah. A lot of the anime dubbing happened prior to Disney+. Doremon, Digimon, all the Miyazaki works. I honestly believe that started winding down when Jetix became Disney XD around the time they bought Marvel. I know they aired some Naruto and Pokemon afterwards but not much.

Stich has both an animu and a literal Chinese cartoon.
Only Disney animu that matters is Fireball.

Oh, right. They kept hiring Hollywood actors for those Ghibli flicks, didn't they?

They're certainly more obsessed with ridiculously expensive live-action productions.

That's sarcasm, right? The mouse hated everything about Ghibli and held the cinema screenings and distribution as low as possible.

Don't wanna help the competition too much.
I guess that's why they made horrible dub versions of the Ghibli songs.
